Overview[]

The 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan was a minivan that was added to the Dodge Weekend update, which several Dodge vehicles to the game along with the I-76/HBBT extension. The vehicle used to be purchasable for Credits 15,000 until it was removed on October 11th, 2019.

Description[]

The current Grand Caravan in the game is the fifth-generation model. It first debuted on August 16 2007 as a 2008 model. The fifth-generation lasted until 2020. The Dodge Grand Caravan first came out in 1983 for the 1984 model year. The vehicle shared the same body and wheelbase of the 1984 Plymouth Grand Voyager and the 1989 Chrysler Town and Country. The Town & Country came standard with mostly all of the features since it was a luxury minivan.

The 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan was replaced by the 2014 Chrysler Town and Country which is based of the Chrysler version because this version was actually a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country LX with the wrong grille and missing badges. The rims, headlight and taillight combination, and front fascia were all from the Chrysler Town & Country and NOT from the Dodge version.

Trivia[]

  • UD admin Mister_Freakout made two joke images prior to the update relating to the Caravan's inclusion. The first was captioned, "For all those soccer dads and moms going through midlife crisis", depicting a Caravan in the garage with SRT Viper GTS along the driveway. A similar image was made with the caption "For all those Soccer moms and dads entering a midlife crisis, depicting a Caravan on the driveway with Dodge Charger SRT-8 parked on the side.
  • One of the current thumbnails for UD: Currituck still features a Caravan in Fort Landing. The caption reads “One of Roblox’s widest selections of vehicles.”
  • In-game, it can hold up to seven players within it, making it the vehicle with the third-highest seating capacity in the game (behind the GMC VanDura and RV in ascending order).
  • This vehicle was most commonly seen used by newer players, but it also saw use by family roleplayers.
  • The Dodge Grand Caravan is the top-selling minivan in America.
  • This vehicle was rated poor on the small overlap crash test from the IIHS.
  • 2010 Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 and 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan were still available in UD: Jonesboro after the re-branding update until UD: Johnsboro Junction’s beta testing was over.
